A bunch of my friends at MIT who are working on hardware startups have been asking about the fundraising process. I'm no expert, but I have found a ton of helpful advice. I decided to condense it into six things I think everyone should know to start (some are basic like what is a seed round vs. series A, others are more complex like why you don't necessarily want to raise as much money as you can).
I've included quotes from top VCs throughout with links to some of their best blog articles (don't take my word for it - read them). Finally I included my 6 favourite startup resources at the end.
Feedback is welcomed. Drop me a line in the comments on my blog or tweet at me (@johnehmac). I hope this helps.
