About Me

My name is John (A.) MacDonald, which only means something if you're Canadian. I'm the co-founder of an early stage hardware startup about to spin out of MIT.

I grew up in Toronto, where I trained as a family doctor before coming to MIT to pursue my dream of building cutting edge consumer electronics. If you're confused about why a doctor is building gadgets, I can tell you I knew what a compiler was long before I could spell stethoscope.

I'm happily married, a passionate NBA fan, and will gladly play just about any sport - just not hockey.
